The dates for the Barh Bash have been set. The event will be on 3/17 - 3/18. The trials event will be on the 17th with the MTB race on the 18th. I'll have the flyer up as soon as possible, pre registration will be at bikereg.com on friday. Pre-registration will be $25.00, the day of the event will be $30.00. I will need to look into the insurance, kind of slackin on that one. There should be a keg of Fat Tire on Saturday night., still working on that one(trying to get it for free or reduced rate!) Food will be after the event around dinner time. I think that starting at around noon worked out well last year, If there isn't any objections I'll plan that again. We have moved the event to a new area, we will have all new lines for this year.
We will be running beginner, sport and expert only(sorry Stan!).
Jeff if you are out there, pm me.

I know that you're keen on helping the trials scene, which we all appreciate big time, but I'm not sure how many people you can honestly expect this year:sadwavey:
Riders NOT expected to make this comp:
Stan-Pro
Edge-Expert
Patrick-Expert
Ross-Expert
Decline-Sport
Dready Dan-Sport/Exp?
Birdman Jason-Expert

That is a pity... I might not be back in Arkansas by then. I might still be in NY. BUT, if I am back in AR by then I'll be there. I might do the trials comp and the single speed race, who knows...
Oh by the way, a single-speed, dual-hope-disc, gold ano parts, Try-All 108 catch point, FFW bike is being built for me as I type this.
I was building it with a Simtra ST1 frame, and I might still, but I have a sweet offer to have a custom dual disc Ti frame made for me...
At any rate, the bike will be WAY better than I deserve for my skills for at least six months... and even then I don't think I will be fully deserving.

Change the date, and I might be there...if the crew is riding.

Stu and I are going, and maybe Brian and Tom

Binion you should concentrate 80% of your efforts on the sport sections, and the rest on beginners since I don't think any experts are going to show except one or maybe two. That should make it easier on you.

Small change of plans: I should be home by then. Expert class for me... If I do make it back to AR then I am in.
Now, where to stay? I have slept in the back of my car more than once, but if there is a rider in the area willing to allow a couch surfer, then that is always a better option.
It seems that we might make it to this comp after all...

Sorry I haven't been on much, but things are progressing well at the ranch. Ellen and I have moved everything and have set up some of the runs, came up with a few others and planned where the rest will be located. Everything will be new this year. We are expecting help from Jeff and Stan this weekend, and we will be moving some of the larger things on Sunday. We hope to have everything finished during spring break.
We'll be there Saturday and possibly Sunday. I'll bring the score cards with me this weekend and we can talk about the banner. What else do you think you'll need?

Are many of you camping on friday night before the comp as well as sat?
Probably just camping Saturday night. You can crash at my place Friday night if needed. I took Friday off and I'm planning on riding/drinking... well you know the routine.
Fair Park group ride on Friday again?

I think it was more a hamburger championship. That shit was being stuffed into camelbacks to eat during XC rides.
+1 on the recipe.
