Anyone know if these cranks would work...
Shimano sites a 50.0mm chainline, which seems like there wouldn't be enough clearance for a 22t ring and the chainstays.
Would a Holzfeller trials setup with howitzer be a better way to go...weight appears to be about the same as the Saint (1124g).
Jenson has them for $149.

For 150 you might as well get trials specific cranks and spare any issues that might arise.

That's a damn good price for Saints and they should work on your bike. My buddy runs them on his control and they work well and he does some pretty burly drops.

Is his Control a newer version with wider chainstays that accept 48mm rims?

The saint cranks fit perfectly on the St-1.
If you want to have no thought about your cranks breaking and still maintain reasonable weight, stick with those.
