So get this.....
On tuesday, I brake the shell of my SKF 600 bottom bracket.... :wtc: No worries, it was warrantied and I got a new one.....
Fitted the new bb, decide to give the bike a big ol' clean up..... Discover two cracks in the spoke flange of my King...... :wtc: Gosh, I got a big comp next week, gotta get that shit sorted.
My boss gives me a King SS hub we have in stock and I build the wheel.... Looks killer and is lighter than the old one..... YAY..... :Sonic:
Putting the wheel back in the bike I notice that there is a crack almost all the way around the chainstay yolk of my Koxx Derangboy :wtc:
Luckily, we stock echo at work and I build up a Pure..... Looks killer, rides ok..... Take it home to go for a ride. :Sonic:
Flip the bike over to just have a ply and make sure the wheel is true..... Magura lever snaps right off...... :wtc:
Still, it's sunny...... Might just go to the beach :Sonic:
Gonna be a sweet bike with a new brake :D
Pics soon I promise

That sucks man... hope you get it all sorted before the comp.
About that BB... its a really weird coincidence cause at work we had the flange snap off a customer's SKF 300 this week too... Im glad to hear it got warrantied.
Cheers

Listen I realize all those things that happened are bad, irritating and rather unlucky. I'm sorry to hear about that.
But lets analyze your post.
I've taken the liberty of some providing some excerpts:
My boss gives me a King SS hub we have in stock and I build the wheel.... Looks killer and is lighter than the old one
GAVE, as in "here, you can have it" a CK SS hub.
Luckily, we stock echo at work and I build up a Pure.... Take it home to go for a ride.
For anyone stateside it would take at least a week to get a new frame. Most don't have the privelege of "taking it home". I'm sorry to hear that your LBS stocks Deng products. Poor you.
Even if you had to pay for both the frame and the hub, a large percentage of the forum dwellers would have to scrimp and save for long periods of time to be able to purchase that stuff. We couldn't just do it on a whim.
it's sunny
 self-explanatory
P.S. I love you :joshers:

Thanks for your support guys.....
My boss didn't actually 'give' me the hub..... I have an account at the shop, I can rack up like five grand and it comes out at a small wage deduction every week, so I will have to pay for it in the long run..... Wholesale though so it's all good....
I'll order a new maggie lever on monday and should have it all running again on wednesday at the latest......

Oh Adam, I don't know about those Vinco's. My Koxx is going great guns, although I must say I do think that crack in the headtube is getting bigger. Not to worry though, I estimate at least another year of life in that thing.
I don't know if you are going to ride the Echo for the long term, if not, choose wisely.
