I wore through a pair of airwalks in 3 months, riding 2-3 days a week. My Shimano's seem to be holding up much better.

i had the same pair of shoes a year ago, and when they went through i shopped specificly for the same ones cuz they did this when they wore through. i love these shoes. you know rodney mullen rides for globes, he rides by my house all the time and i get to skate with him . thats why i got these shoes.

Sa-weet. I used to be into skating and he was one of my idols. I read "the mutt" which is a pretty good book about him.

he just had something happen in his hip , thats why he doesnt do demos any more. i just see him mostly riding in little swerving patterns around the light poles now. when i first saw him he was doing switch kick-flip krooks on a hand rail and i introduced my self with a mouth full of oreos.i showed him my bike and all the usual q's popped up " why is your sproket so small , wheres your seat, are those hydraulic?" my friend got a pick of he and i , and i dont know were it went. ill try to get another one though.

That's brutal. :eek3: I've stayed with the same pair of shoes for as long as a year riding flatland (always doing scuffing tricks) and never done that to a pair of shoes.
Maybe others have noticed that Vans seem to fall apart fast. They always have for me, and I stick with certain types of Etnies and Duffs now.

I rock the Globes, they leave a LITTLE to be desired but overall are dece.

I ride about 3 hours a week, tops.
Past 2 weeks I've ridden about 1 hour though.
