bike ain't got a engine...
If you compair the level : I guess bike-trialsrider are better 'cause younger and fearless
I mean, if there was someone young and fearless like vinco ( in 2000 ) or benito, vince, neil, etc.. ( today ) in the motor-trial, there would be some real stunts !!

not to say that wasnt impressive cuz it was. but last time i went and rode at tishomingo oklahoma we saw this mototrials clinic with this world champion rider, cant remember his name maybe one of the guys from that trip will chime in it it, that was doing some just insane stuff. from about a bike lenght away and with softball sized rock as a kicker went up this wall that was dead vertical...for about 15-18 feet it was just nuts. mototrials is a wicked cool sport, much like this one, and if i had the money i would be in it.
Mototrials is much crazier then biketrials, in mototrials you have steep long slopes, if you cant get up you have a looong way down !
I once had to kick my motorbike OVER my head when tumbling backwards down a hill .
World class riders climb stuff with theyr motobikes that people cant even climb with theyr body.

maybe i have a false idea of mototrial or i didn't see enough "street mototrial" to compair !
Thats the thing, nothing in the streets can compare to the structures/obstacles that is in the nature . Your problem Stefan is that you havent tried to climb world class sections on your feets ;) .
Also they have heavy bikes that they can get over them etc.
ALSO mototrials riders are MUCH MUCH better in " skill level " because training is beeing taken much more serious , with training schedules, people training together always , doing alot of sections, traveling to train with others etc etc.
When i did mototrials we were 4 people always training together, we werent just riding, we were training, in blistering heat and sweat, in -5 and 2 metres snow .. and we travelled to finland, sweden to train , and got english qualified trainers to come and train us.
I wish Biketrials was like mototrials when it comes to training. Now im just riding now and then, mostly alone , and never structured training.

yes I get th thing now
all biketrial's best trained alone... or with their daddy !!! ( yes i 've just seen the dvd leap and bounds !! )
btw TRA, why didn't you continue mototrial ??
Also the mototrials has much more money in it and thus making theyr training more "professional" ..
Uhm .. i quit because Biketrials just came alot more natural to me , and bikes is what has always been deeply in my heart.. or whatever..
And to afford a biketrials bike i had to sell my motorbike .. if someone here wants to use 3000$ to buy me a motortrials bike they can gladly do ;)

Moto Trials is taken way more seriously as there are alot more $$$$$$$ involved. I mean like salaries and sponsorships totaling a million dollars etc.
From memory the top riders in the indoor squad end up being payed something like $200,000 each for all the rounds of the IWTC.
And since there is nothing close to "street" style riding, it is all competitions
or practicing and training for the competitions.
