I have just put a bbb stem on my bike, the speedstem i think? Anyway im just wondering if anybody has broken one before? The face plate looks weak and the whole thing is light as but i know a few of you use them.
Is this thing safe?
Tim and Jack from QLD are associated with BBB, they might have some info for you.

Xavier and I both use the Quartoforce road stems on our street bikes and we haven't had any dramas. Neither of us go super big but we do ride quite a bit.
I've attached a picture of the stem we run. I'm guessing the one you've got has a lighter face plate.

I think Damo has one on his bike too, and has for some time. I think you should be okay

Yeah I have a hi-lite stem which is as good as any other stem I have had on a trials bike, it is forged so although it looks pretty small compared to a lot of stems is quite strong.
