Lose the Marta SL, spend your money on a Hope Trials. It comes with stainless housing and it's less money. IMO, it's also a stronger brake.

Having a brake booster is a must on that frame. Which one do you have? The Control booster won't fit, the thinner black/silver one will work fine.

How tall are you? The lite frame is short(1000mm), if you're of decent size, get a longer frame.

I already own the martas, otherwise i would for sure go hope. cant justify spending more money on brakes, Ill break it first(not that ill try)
Im 5 ft 7, so I hope it wont be too short for me.
Mine is this one, the thin one http://www.hbtrials.com/photos/echoparts/4bolts_booster2.jpg
hope it will work.

Switching to mod? Get ready for fun! :eek5: And ridicule.

It's only a 20" wheel, so I think you'll find the Marta strong enough, maybe just a bit lacking in modulation.

Ya, 3/8 (10mm) tensioners. Usually a couple of the 7 dollar tugs gets me a season on the drive side, with a snail cam good enough non-drive. If you go with this style...

find one where the U-channel piece fits snug on your dropout or adjustment/reliability will be compromised.

nah man, no worries. if so Ill take the good witht the bad. Im sure there are benefits for small frames(shorter wheelbase)
My st1 to me is a long wheelbase, not sure if wb in comparison with stock and mod is felt the same. 1050 to 1003. Only a variance of 47mm. I wont judge it till Ive ridden it, thanks for the heads up

oh yeah . your going from stock to mod ? trust me , you are going to notice. if i can notice a difference in 10 mm - you prolly will to . ahk you are gonna have a blast though. going from stock to mod is being shown the light. i think your gonna be stoked. let me know if you have problems though.

also to let you know the echo 4 bolt booster will work on the mods to problem at all. the reason people don't run the 4 bolt ones on mods is because most of the time the mod has a stiffer rear to start with and will not need the 4 bolts to hold it in place and 2 bolt ones will work just fine.

i had a 4 bolt echo booster on my echo team mod that i had for a while (i'm searching for that perfect bike)

that'll be a nice bike and you'll discover the wonders of bunnyhopping with that short frame ;)

I'm 6' and have no problem riding my Lite. If you're used to a long bike it will definately take some getting used to though.

A booster is a must on this frame. I tried one of the older black and silver echo 4 bolt boosters and it didn't fit the mounts... the new ones will work fine though.
