My chain starting getting a bit loose yesterday, and I continued riding the bike for another 20 minutes or so. Today I went to tension the chain, and as I tightened the wheel back up, I bent the tensioner on the drive side a little bit. However not the part that was bent, but another section of the tensioner was just barely rubbing on the chain. I noticed that the bash guard under the bottom bracket is now also rubbing slightly on the chain.I tried switching the tensioners to see if it helped but it did not. Any ideas on why suddenly I'm getting chain rub on the bash guard and tensioner? Nothing looks bent (frame/dropout/etc). I'm very confused.

The soonest I can is tomorrow, I need to get my cable back to plug my camera to my computer. I'll probably just take my bike up to the shop tomorrow, I was just hoping someone had a suggestion so I could stop worrying about it tonight.

Try loosening the bolts on the bashguard and pushing it away from the chain. Most of them have slightly larger holes than bolts and that allows them to move around a bit. Ss for the hub, is your wheel straight in the frame? If not, then that can cause it. If so, then... I would have to see it.
