Not sure if this is the correct forum for new member introductions...anyways, I just got a used Monty x-lite 221 Cesar Canas replica mod bike. I've been riding flatland for close to 5 years now, not so much the past 1.5-2 yrs though, and finally got a trials bike.
I will probably be asking lots of questions in the near future. :)

Welcome to the world of trials, do you still ride flat or did you give that up?

Trials is fun, you will wnjoy it.

I my self dabble in flatland a little, though I am not as good on a flatland bike as I am on a trials bike.

Matt.

I will never give up flatland, although it has been frustrating as I've reached a level where learning new moves/links takes a LONG time. I've tried for 2 summers now to dial in a switch-foot steamroller to switch-hand, regular-foot steamroller to inside circle k, and as much as I practice I cannot consistently g-turn back out of it into a switch-handed steamroller (my goal was to learn to turbine the switch-hand steamroller, which I think is one of the coolest flatland tricks if done smoothly). My bike is a little light though, I never adjusted to the light weight when I switched to a 4 lb. KHE aluminum frame with a lighter Odyssey flat fork and St. Martin trials crank. As far as my location, I'm in the Cleveland area. I'm not sure but I think a guy that works like 2 days a week at the bike shop I work at may visit these forums (I've seen him on some trials forum occasionally, not sure if it's this one). He is part of a group that does demos, 216 trials team I believe it's called.

welcome, i'm sure you'll fit right in
the 221 x-lite was my previous bike btw :)
mine was in a crap condition, but i hope it will do the job for you
you can try to put some flatland moves into trials, i know that g-turn and switserland squeeker are possible :)
i'm sure you could create an awesome style with the combination of trials and flatland
good luck dude :bigthumb:
