well there seems to be a lot of interest in riding rockport, so i think we should make it a date if everyone agrees on the spot. last years was august 4-6 here colorado, im pretty sure jon wants to have this years colo otn days at around the same dates. im thinking late august or early september for rockport, so if peeople want to do both, they can. lets hear what dates sound good to yalls.

More than one person had similar pessimism about OTN days last year. It was far from a failure.

Rockport is just north of Boston in Massachusetts. As far as the passport, starting the end of January 2007 if you fly into the US, you will need a passport. Not sure about driving in from Canada though.

Maybe its too early...
But I looked up prices on Orbitz, Cheaptickets.com, and travelocity, and they were all like 250 /person roundtrip from TPA.

Colorado is like a lot farther and I bought a ticket shortly before I was leaving for only like 75 bucks more.
Does anyone else feel that 250 a person is ridiculous?

They really don't charge based on distance. But yeah it's usually cheaper than that. Try different days, and yeah, it's probably too far out.

The best I eve got was $59 each way, non-stop from Boston to Ft. Myers on JetBlue.

Logan, most likely. You can also fly into Manchester NH if you can find a cheaper flight into there. Depends on where you're staying. Rockport itself is probably half way in between the two. If you want the city experience, just fly into Logan. I can pick you up in a big red truck:D

hows the car theft over there ??

I think it would just be smarter to rent a car.Much cheaper on gas aswell.

Rockport is a quiet affluent seaside town, I would say there is virtually none. In fact they might not let a lowrider VW in to the town :sadwavey:

But yeah, might be cheaper to rent.

theres camping...I'm working on getting a group area set up..and theres hotels as well... just google "gloucester lodging or Rockport lodging"

Aug 24-26 is the final date? And we fly into where? Logan?
I would stay an extra day or two if you can...just to see the local area...Boston bars etc.

what ever is cheeper flight wise...manchester is about an hour from Rockport/Gloucester but you need not worry about transportation to and from :Wavey:

We could definitely get TRA out here.

I was just talking to him last night about a trip he's taking to some eastern european country (I already forgot where he's going  ). He said they're just gonna pay his plane ticket and give him a place to stay. He'll go pretty much anywhere.

So if you guys really wanna get him here, start a pool.

I'll start by offering to throw in $50

And if you need a cash collection location, I can be that repository (not that kind of repository, toby :squintrofl:).

matt vs tra

I've seen them both. TRA is much more jumpy and spastic, matt is larger over all. Drunk - matt would crush a sober TRA. Really drunk TRA would just whine about how much he wishes he had a girl and cry, or try to smoke some ganj in hyands car. Both moderately drunk, i think either way anyone normal sized nearby would get hurt.

Whoo hooO! TRA & now JamesB? I'm down. I'll be in NH by then.

Looking forward to seeing some of you OTN members as well.

Put me down for $75

Joel are you going too?

If you have jetBlue flying from your nearest airport it's on sale right now for $119 each way. I know there are cheaper flights but leather seats, DirectTV & great customer service...it's baller!
