Hi Guys,

I just recieved 3 Echo Pure frames from Biketrials Australia to build up for the shop floor. We're aiming to keep the retail cost under $1100, but offer a good package to upgrade on. So I got frame and fork covered.

Need suggestions on a couple of things though.

Rear hub. Tossing up between single speed with a screw on freewheel like an ACS Claw or a cassette hub with shitty engagement. What say you???

Also, I need to find some four or five bolt bash rings for super cheap. Any ideas????

Thanks for your help,

Adam

hay adam,
i think an acs may be better than a shitty hub.
acs should be fine for a begginer they are not exactley rippin big hights or gaps or both. maybe have an option to up grade to white industries for a bit more $$
as for the bash rings maybe get jon weaving to make some
good luck

I agree. i think an acs would last longer and is stronger than a basic cassette hub.
Have you found a decent rear screw on hub? I havnt seen too many in 135mm spacing around that are cheapish. I think dmr are making one with 10mm axle that could be the go;) .

Dont know about bashrings, custom could be the way to go.

I remember back in the day when everyone had a different bike, seems like the pure is just like an asshole now, everyone's got one!

Well, every arsehole has one..... :D

They are cheap and good mate, makes them a great candidate for a beginners bike.....

David (kieldp) also has v adapters available too I think Adam.

I also have a brand new Truvativ 22t bash guard for 4 bolt cranks (from the set I bougt of Cameron) if you are really stuck for one....

So what other parts are you building these things up with?

I'll call you and discuss later dude..... Gonna keep it a bit of a secret until then ;)

I just want everyone to know that this is a BEGINNERS bike, designed as a great frame and fork with decent bits that you can upgrade on over time and still end up with a great bike - unlike a lot of the other lower budget trials bikes on the market, which you can upgrade and still have a shit bike....

Hang the extra expense and throw on a Hope Pro 2 Trials.
will never need to upgrade that....
