View Full Version : Sydney crew Brindabella accommodation

Hey Guys,

After discussions with a few people on the weekend about getting a place to stay for the Brindabella challenge I have decided to book us a LARGE family cabin here http://www.carotel.com.au/familycabins.asp

I have confirmed that Myself, AK, Owen, Mitch, Simon, Damien (Fri only), Macbeth and Peace will be in for this room. Its $180 per night, so roughly $22.50 each per night, Im booking this on Wednesday arvo so let me know before then if you think its a bad idea :(

The room has 9 beds (or ten if a couple of you want to spoon in the double :ugh:), so we have room for one more person, 1st in gets it.

that place is on the federal highway on the way into Canberra. Probably 30 minute drive from the competition venue. <5 minute drive to Dickson, a fairly extensive shopping centre with a fantastic bike shop (where I work).

Is there still a bed available with the sydney crew? It seems I'm the only guy from Brissy coming down this year to represent yo, so if the beds still available and your cool with it I'll put my hand up.
edit: how many nights is the place booked for?

Ill be in saturday night only, if at all...Any happenings on the sunday? I have to be in Newy Friday night so would be driving down Saturday I guess...:dunno:

With a bit of luck I'll be cruising down with Mr Gillings on friday afternoon and heading back with him on saturday afternoon..... Let you all know though

Ok seems a few people are only in for one night, doesn't matter I'll still book the room for 2 nights, we'll just have to pay a bit more each.

Xavier, there will be a spare bed both Friday and Saturday night, are you driving from QLD? maybe you could give a Sydney person a lift back on Saturday :eek3danc: People are keen to ride Sunday too right? :wiggle:

Its still abit up in the air as to weather I can make it now. I'm in the middle of finding a new place as my lease runs out on the 28th.
I'll be flying down though if I do come and staying as long as I can, so at least for the two nights. It all depends on how soon I find a new place really, which is being abit hassle because I have a dog.

I'm heading down Friday arvo around 5pm, I'm taking Simon in my car. The room is booked for Friday & Saturday nights.

I will also be doing video coverage of the event for Trials is Dead II.

I am travelling down with A.k.

we may ride Sunday for a bit, he still has to get home to Newy once we get back here though. so might leave canb at about 2ish??

Just to let you guys know all pillows & linen is supplied at the motel so you can leave your sleeping bags at home. I should be there by 9:30pm.
