Fix your pics Dave! So you have to run a high rise stem for high BB mods as well?? won't that make it harder to get over the front of the bike for wheel switches and the like?

god i want one of those bikes...actually i would prob be happy with a mod with a bash plate instead of the stupid uci style guard i have on my python.

Looks proportionate. I'll have to visit for a test ride,.. mod has my attention lately.
Echo Team frames are low bb right?
Anyways, yea I could see the front center being important on ALL bikes, more so when the bb is a ways up. I'm running a 145x30 if you want to trade for a day and see how it feels.
Great stuff man.
Definitely keen for more vid/pics from you. Your last vid that I saw on those rocks was awesome.

Dave,
Let's see a review asap! I'm interested to see what you think of that stem setup and high bb/frame stiffness, etc..

So today was only the second ride on the bike as I've been sick but heres what I've found so far:
Frame built up well, no problems at all. Headset went in nice and tight, all the parts seem good. I put a GU lever on my rear magura too, although it took some serious work with the dremel to make it fit my finger. I prefer smaller levers like xtr's so this giant square lever blade didn't work too well until i altered it. But now it feels quite nice.
My first ride I had a 145x25 echo hifi stem with a zoo bar cut to 28.25 and 1.5cm's worth of spacers. And to be honest it felt terrible. Just couldn't figure it out, but it wasn't good. So today I put a full length Echo stem, the one designed for a flat bar, and put 1cm worth of spacers underneath with the zoo bar and it feels great!! The bike feels 10x better now.
I'm not running a brake booster on the frame and it does have a little flex, but its not really that noticeable and I don't mind a little bit of give. Frame and fork feel plenty stiff. My only real complaint about the bike is the narrow xtp style bash. What the hell is the point of having a bashguard that doesn't cover the chain/freewheel? It'll only save what? 40 grams to shave off the sides? The new mounts for the bashguard are much much better though.
It if wasn't raining/dark most of the time i'd make a video but yea...

How much did you pay for your maggie one? Just re-sell it brand new and get what you need.
