mtb-frame, cut and rewelded, 363 mm stays?

for some reason i was glancing through biketrials.com, and found this thread of a dude who got a mtb frame, cut it up and rewelded it to the geometry he wanted, and claims it has 363 mm stays....

That doesn't look to bad for cutting up an old frame. That tire does look ultra close to the BB. I wonder how it rides.

I've seen this guy on other forums, and *shudder* the pinkbike galleries.

He's done a lot of other bikes like this, and they all look great, although kinda sketchy. I think he's from Brazil, and you apparently can't find any trials frames or parts to save your life there, aside from the odd hs-33 or whatnot. Props, I say. :joshers:

I had a friend that did that same thing back in the day. It worked for a bit and even rode fairly well , but scared the hell out of me to see him ride the thing. Here's a hint Alcolyte.....Kevin from Columbus.
