just put my adamant 07 together
still waiting for a shorter stem but other than that it's riding great.
a bit less bb rise than my old pitbull and horozontal dropouts sold me on it.
i'll review it as soon as i get my stem

Nice changes.
Are there any pics specs for the 07 Deng line?
I haven't seen and update on the echo site yet.

Still 116mm rear. So new frame means new rear wheel.
Beat the snot out of that thing and provide us some R&D feedback please.

I think Deng said he would offer frames in both widths after everyone ripped him in a thread about the topic.
Hor. would be 116mm
Ver. would be 135mm
IIRC

bb: 68mm (+30mm rise)
i needed a new rear rim anyway
had the weaker winter 06 version

jeah! loosen the hub screws, push the wheel in and the chain is easy to pull off.
but nothing like the porno BT 7.0 horo drops. they look like way over designed compared to the deng models.
a BT 7.0 with everything on it might very well be my christmas present to myself ;)

hah, I just take the drive side crank off to get my wheel off.. easier than busting the chain every time..
but my axle is as far forward in the dropout as possible..
thats a nice setup man.. lets see some ride shots!

What width BB did you use, how's the chain line, and how's the slave cylinder clearance?
trialnega

BB width is 127.5 try-all 06
chain line is not perfect but ok
slave cylinder?
the hub has enough space to slip the chain off on my rig. i have a 16 tooth cog on the rear.
this frame seems to be more responsive than my pit
it feels stiffer and the BB rise is perfect
i won't say too much until i have my stem but when i tap, i stick without correction hops. when i land on the front i stick and stay frozen for a second mainly due to the stiffer fork. my fakies go about as long as i want (and as long as the slope is good). my 180's feel like 180+ wanting to happen.
it feels like i can throw it around more even though it's heaver.
i just ordered the same crank set but with a try-all freewheel and an Fsa platinum DH BB then i'll have to do something about the chain line.

I thought if you'd used a narrower bb to get the chain line you might have had foot or crank interference with the maggie brake slave cylinders, but with that width bb it's irrelevant.
Thanks for the info.

OK thanks, thought that there is not enough space in Dropout to push the wheel in...thats nice!
Bikes w/o deraileur are soo smooth and silent ...:)

So have you tried it with the shorter stem? Todd at Webcycle said they have this frame in stock. I may go ahead and go a little in debt and get it. Same set up but no red tires YIKES!
Nice bike, what fork is that?
