Anyone ever use a ghost ring on a trials bike? :dunno:

I'm too lazy to make my tensioner work so I'm going to try it. Anybody done it before?

wasn't there a thread about this a long time ago.. the results were fantastically hilarious!

I'll see if I can find the thread. I know I saved some of the pics.

edit - found it.. it was in the "most ghetto setup" thread mcdub had going awhile ago.. http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=21174&highlight=phantom+gear

first page of it.. scroll down to #14 post by Sonic.. great pics!!

hahaha.

Well, anyway, just went out for a ride with one and it worked fine, better, in fact than before, without one. It does look pretty retarded, but its cheaper/lighter than a tensioner. The chain is rediculously tight, I'll see how long it holds up.

hopefully it works out for you. I've heard of other folks using them, but thats on road bikes.

Just make the tensioner work. That to me is like wraping you dick with a zip loc sandwich bag hoping for either pleasure or protection.

That is fucking dangerous. My friend ran one on a street bike for a while and it fell out pretty regularly. I'd hate to see it happen on a trials bike.
