I saw it at my shop, it looks cool.
First dedicated from major manufacturer? IRC El Gato Trials? Maxxis Creepy Crawlers?

Hans had a signature tire with his old sponsor... Maxxis Hansventure. I'm actually using it as a front tire right now...

Hans already had a trials-specific tire a few years ago...the maxxis hans-venture or something like that. I think the IRC Dirt Bros were the first real trials specific tire to come out for stock, and that was well over 10 years ago...
I'm just waiting for the 26" version of the creepy crawlers

I'll take my Minion over anything anyday. It's virtually impossible to flat.

I recently switched tires to the Kenda Nevegal Stickys, and I've got to admit im impressed. After riding a pair of highrollers to the kevlar though, I suppose any tire with tread on it was an improvement. Its cool to see more big names stepping up with trials related/specific gear.

Someone forgot about thw HANSVENTURE
Edit.
The knobs on the sides are 100% identical to the hansventures.
That tyre looks fucking awesome.

The Dirt Bros was great tread pattern....... all beloved the grippines. The downside was the really thin sidewall. Trevor... were you there in RI when Kevin Brody tore the side wall open because of a slip and drag along a rock? Damn....nearly 10 years ago! Maybe not........ that tread pattern w/stiff sidwall would have been killer. Pete Wilk worked up mod tire w/that tread pattern...... if only the sheckles were there.........
The IRC El Gato had great rubber compound (hmmm....well, you know what I meaN)...and pattern. The size is small compared to what is requested today... but the execution great. Sidewall was thin, but the extra rubber around the bead protected to a certain extent pinch flats. One wonders how nicely it would flatten out on current wide rims.............hmmmmm

I remember Kev had those tires and loved them, except for the sidewall issue.
After seeing the Leaps and Bounds video, it amazes me that mod tires are relatively unchanged in over 25 years (see the Hans Rey segment). I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it.
If Maxxis made the 26" Creepy Crawler, I think it'd be popular outside of trials too. Probably could be decent for dirt jumping...

...for all of you who think I'm absolutely crazy for using Holy Rollers, take a look. Biggest difference is the lack of side knobs.

I haven't used it yet, it does look like a pretty good tire.

I'm not listening to you tire advice. You could wrap linguine around your rims and still ride.:run:

I've been pleasantly surprised by my holy rollers. They roll well, but still manage to stick to stuff pretty well.

How are the sidewalls? I found on the Michy Hot S that I flatted literally every 1-2 rides, and since switching to the Maxxis, I have no flatted even once.
