I got bored a short while ago and found this design on-line and said I'd give it a go. It's holding up surprisingly well, considering it's my first time building a wheel. Sorry about the crappy pic quality.:ugh:

3 leading 3 trailing?

That's what the front wheel on my track bike is. It seems to ride just about like a 3x. They are kind of crazy to lace. Very nice work

Thanks guys, I've been putting it through it's paces for about a month now and it's still pretty true even though I'm not the smoothest of riders.
Jake1516: I'm from southern Ireland, Cork to be more precise.
Stefan: sorry I don't I only have the 2mp camera on my phone and I don't know how to compress the size of the image to upload it, I think there's a tutorial around somewhere.

could you post the link of where you got the how-to? I want to try it on a spare wheel!

A 32 spoke version can be built using 2 leading and 2 Trailing spokes (2X Length).

that sounds promising!!

I did a 3 leading/trailing wheel once. Didn't like how it looked so relaced it regularly. That is, I relaced it in a manner considered normally, not on a regular temporal basis.
