the BB7, the magura julie is the lowest end magura disc brake out there. you don't want to go low end with hydraulic discs.

get the avid and join hundreds of trials riders who have very reliable disc brakes.

How do these compare to the Hope Trials brake? I've only used Hayes HF9s. Have heard the Hope Trials recommended, but have never used it. It was described as more "on / off which is more appropriate for trials". True? Truly desirable?
What is the best trials hydro brake? And why?

there is no really best, avid BB7, magura louise and marta, hope are all really good brakes, i use a 2002 hayes MAG and love it to death, it's resistant even to sidehops gone wrong.

I have the Julie. I work´s good, but in my opinion. The Avid is alot better. A mate had the 200mm rotor, on a 26" bike, and it was the beste brake I ever tried.

i'd go the bb7 if i were you so much more reliable i run the avid and havnt a single problem with it, and because it isnt hydro you dont have to worry about leakage or anthing like that and the power is the same if you ask me
The BB7 is a great disk brake, its good value and gives you enough power, more then most hydro's have got to offer at that price. Once set-up you won't have many problems, actually you shouldn't have any;) BB7 all the way.
