Monty number system? 219? 207? Huh?

Iv been looking at some monty mods, the x-alp and x-lite mostly. Whats up with the numbers? Like 207? 219? 230? Huh!? Iv seen x-alps with differnt numbers. Why are the numbers differnt and the bike the same?

200 series ie. 207 junior models
210 series ie. 219-steel old style mod
220 seire ie. 221-aluminum higher end mod
230+ stock urban
231+ stock trial

But on the monty website, it says "219 Alp" But its aluminum???

They upgrade the frames every year. A 219 from 4 years ago is different from this year, generally the 219 is a lower end mod than the 221. When looking at monty, the year of manufacture is important as well as the model.

they changed to aluminum but the series still applies. 200 is kids, 210 is entry level, 220 is pro mods, 230 is stock.
