looks sweet, but I'm kinda confused...you had to pay 300 for replacement??? Sounds like a scam if that is the case.
Also, how you like the new hs-33 lever?

Looks good, I do think you should clean it up a little though. Put the zip ties through the little zip tie cable routers. And put a BB-7 on there. Of coarse it Is all personal preference.

I can't remember the exact length of times but Cycles Simtra did a warranty for so long for manufacturers defects and then if you went over that warranty or if you broke the frame from abuse you would normally have to pay full price to get a new frame. They stepped up and give you whats called a crash replacement for half price or so after your warranty is up. Pretty class act in my books.
The Simtras look rad. I've been keepin an eye on the rear disk users.

Im running a rear disc on mine and ive had no problems. I think the only problem people have had is the caliper snapping, but thats just the brakes not the frame.

Once I get my new grips, rotor, and 74Kingz booster (all 80 fucking dollars of it), I'll post a pic of mine. It is completely pimped out.

second on the calipers snapping, i went back to Vbrake on the rear cuase I was snapping so many calipers.. but the mounts are bombproof/ terrorist proof (k thats bombproof) and their abuse proof (kids that like taking hammers to the frame to let out rage cuase they suck compared to hermance)

lol my grips spin, like every 2 rides they do a full 360 but one turns slower than the other, and like its imposible to make them steight b4 every ride cuz its extreemly hard to rotate them. plus i dont feel anything in my gloves, :blah:

:) so i tested out my new ride (4 sessions) and i can say that its the best bike i have ever ridden! I can feel my sidehops and pedal ups improve, other moves feel easyer on this frame (front wheel moves and 180...), also the frame feels so strong and rigid and tubes look like they r hard to dent, lol only time will tell:run: all i need now are better front brakes maybe ill get bb5's soon. Oh yea and i feel like i need to get a lower stem/bar so maybe ill do that too. So to sum it all up, st-1 is just a sweet frame:bowdown:

Where are people breaking the caliper? Actual calipers or adapters? What brand?

People break the avid calipers sometimes.

On the caliper or on the adapter? Where exactly do they break if its the same spot?
Maybe the post mount is actually a lot better. I've been riding the same caliper for over 3 years now.

The rear caliper, not the adaper or mount.
