I was practicing pedal hopping today and all of a sudden something inside my bb snapped. the shit inside. I dont know anything about it. I'm going to take it to a LBS , but i was wondering, what are good kinds of BB's for trials? Or what should i be looking for? I run a stock bike single speed. I dont want this happening too often. I had to walk my bike home. :greddy:

<3 u rush. I'm betting a thousand that the LBS wont have that shit. All they had were plastic pedals last time I went in checking to see what kind of pedals they had. Where can I get it? Webcyclery? Trialsin? Tartybikes?. Not being able to ride is :greddy:

Webcyclery ftw. Thats where I got mine. They were awesome.

If you get 73mm and need 68mm, you may need a spacer or two to have it fit properly.

Every hub can be tightened unless something inside is broken. What type of hub?

You can true the rotor to some extent, depending on what rotor and how bad it is.

Any decent shop can do both for you.

Make you watch what they do so that you can do it yourself next time... unless you have unlimited $$$ to spend on repairs.

QBP which is a bike parts supplier has a few instock most LBS's can get from QBP since its one of the largest just tell them to look in qbp at part# CR5012(non DH) or part# CR4931 (DH)

I'm gonna take a bike mechanics technician class sometime soon, somethign to do instead of working at a gay bakery. I'll make some bank too. Good enough for new bike stuff and college.

I wish I could do a course here, but you can only do them on site, in a bike shop. :(

If you are looking for a good quality BB FSA or SKF are the way to go. Something a bit cheaper I would go for a Truvativ Giga Team BB.

What about Isis Drive? is that different than others? Like the FSA Platinum Pro has the size of BB I need, but its "Isis" drive. The FSA Platinum pro DH doesnt say anything about Isis drive, but they dont have the correct size of my bb.
