Hey,

I got my zoo lynx, and i have 2 problems.

1) My rear magura hs-33 is leaking badly. The crossover tube is almost broken off at the connector. Where do i get new tubing? How do fix it?

2) Im new to bikes, how do i tension the chain? Like how do i pull the wheel back tight enough and screw on the bolts? There are these strange looking black things on either side of the axle, with teeth on them, and a flat section, What are they?

1) get a steel braided crossover cable from www.webcyclery.com (http://www.webcyclery.com) or anywhere that sells magura really. I've actually got a spare crossover cable, not steel but I bought a steel one so I've have the stock one. if you want it you can have it.

2) i think you have snail or cam tensioners. the idea is to spin them to tighten the chain. once you have it where you want it then tighten the axle nuts.

oops. i tried to upload a pic but it won't let me. hmm. well anyways.

If the cross over is long enough, you can cut it down and press in the barbed fitting again. Read this (http://www.magura.com/7thsenseCMS/index.php?id=7953&no_cache=1&file=1834&uid=5910&L=1) manual from Magura to see how it's done.

here's some viz snail tensioners. your's probably has little tick marks or teeth on it. they're called cam tensioners because of the shape. you can see how as you'd spin it that the wheel would be pushed back. they're should also be a bolt or something that the tensioner rests against. some frame can't use these.

Yeah those are them, I took my bike to a lbs and they said i didnt have that bolt that the teeth were suppose to hit. So it just spun around nad started etching the welds of my dropouts. Where can i get those bolts?

just drill a small hole on each side about the same distance from the dropout. and run and small allen keyed bolt through it. may even need to put a nut on the other side. use and allen because they're round on the outside. if you wanna know how far out to drill. I'm not too sure but I'd say take the narrowest part and make it so that if the wheel was all the way forward in the dropout the narrowest part of the tensioner would just touch the bolt.

My frame already has holes.

oh. then just head to a hardware store and see what you can come up with. It would be way cheaper than trying to get them from echo/zoo. just bring the bike in and start threading until you find one you like. that's what i'd do.
