I can't seem to find anyone that has any Try All front tires in stock.

What’s a good front tire that won’t wear down too fast? Also recommended size? (Something that should be easy to find)

I need to get one before the Virginia comp.

Thanks!

Stock or mod? Most people I know run a 2.0 or 2.1 on the front for a little more precision. I am running 2.3 front and rear for softer landings 'cause I am still a hack. I have been looking for a good low rebound, single ply, light wieght, stiff sidewall, sticky 2.1 to use as a front tire. You find one let me know.

Hugo hooked us up...if he's got them you can get it before comp day!! If not just get a maxxis to run.....most should have them in stock!!!!

Do you want a new front tire because your's is bald? From what I've seen of the Richmond place you probably wouldn't need a fresh tire. Mine is about as bald as it gets. 6 month old Minion 40a :naughty:

Yeah. sorry! I'm looking for a 26 inch. My front is pretty bald, my rear still has a little tread left on it, but I figured I'd replace it anyway.

HBtrials is currently out of them but said that they should be able to get some more in a week or so. Webcyclery said it would be quite a while.

So the Maxxis minion 40a?

I've also seen some other ones - High Roller, Holy Roller, others?

Any of the Maxxis...does it make a make a difference?

Minion or High Roller. Stay away from the Holly Roller.

Don't get the holy roller - that's a near-slick DJ/urban tire. I can vouch for any of the following, in a 2.35 single ply, 42a (the side knobs on the 40a slow reez tend to tear off easily in trials usage)

Minion DH Rear
Mobster
High Roller

If you have narrow rims (like narrower than rhyno lites) you should just look for a decently sticky 2.0-2.1. The 2.35 maxxy's will fold all over the place.

Can anyone tell me if this is the 40a or not? It doesnt say anywhere in the add.

I use a 2.0 bontrager tire that I got for free.....My front tire doesnt get used often, spend more time doing rear wheel moves...
If I did more front wheel moves, def michi 24.1 2.0 or 2.2

Just checking... is this the same tire? If so, that seems like a pretty good price.

Yeah, you might be right... I think I'm gonna hold off and just get the Try all tires when they come in. Not to many comps left for the season anyway. I'm hoping more will pop up here and there, but so far it looks like it's just the Virginia comp and the Ohio comp.

Thanks for all your help guys.
