^^there haven't been any good vids all summer from what I can remember. The only one (which was pretty damned good) was the SPA UCI event where the winning score was up in the 20's

Crazy height!
Gaussian blur used in the back ground? If so, any chance of an unedited pic of this?

I counted four (possibly five) kickers throughout the various sections. Nearly one for every section!? Pretty tech too, launching to a log length wise and up to rear on a pointed rock...

Those were clearly moto trials courses that the biketrials guys were poaching, hence the kickers. But if I were them I would launch those kickers any way I could get them. The more the better. It just makes it a little more exciting to watch, and ride for that matter.
As a wise man once said: Kickers for life!
PS - Vinco looks like he is not quite making it in just about all the shots of big ups. I don't think that shirt is doing him any favors, that bike either. Just as an inflammatory and possibly controversial statement, it is my opinion based on observing a few videos, that Vinco doesn't really understand his own bike. The difference between TRA and him riding the same bike is considerable. He has amazing balance and experience, but his style hasn't really adapted to that geometry. Maybe he'll get it with more time. He should go the way of Caisso and ride a more conservative, updated version of the bikes he learned on. Oh well, he's way better than me so I should stop talking.

makes sense Lance! This is why me, even at my world elite status, tends to stick to what I've learned on.. Shorter bikes with lowish bb's.:Wavey:

TRA didn't ride the same bike as vinco. 1075 (or was is 1085?) vs 11111111mm.
At least thats what used to be true, TRA rides a cous now?
Vinco has always looked like a huge goof on that bike, and his spandex black everything that he wears every time he touches a bike doesn't help his persona in our land of mcdonalds and fat chicks.

I remember before I even knew who Vinco was, Martyn A. and Cedric G. making fun of his, let's just say exuberant style at the Volvo team camp. They seemed to think he was a little over the top. I will have to say I can't disagree with them after seeing him burst into tears in Spain.
But I am not a fashion or style critic, I just think it's interesting to see the different styles and how the techiniques are progreesing with the equipment. Knowing how to read terrain and having great balance annd reflexes are always going to be assets in a competition. But as things progress, the older riders either need to adapt or succumb. Vinco looks off to me. And Caisso's incessant dabbing is a little weak as well. Again, easy to criticise as I am certainly speaking from my own more lowly skill level. I'm just a fan of those guys any way you look at it. But armchair trials riding can be fun.
PS - TRA originally rode the full-on 1115 Vinco before he made the move to the shorter one. Then he really started to bust the bunnyhops. What a guy...

LT, how dare you call Caisso out;)
At 26 years old, and 5'4", weighing a buck o' five, he can still hang with anyone as long as you excempt him from the monster moves! I don't think he has the physical ability to go bigger than he does. Mad props to le petit monsieur:bigthumb:

merci beaucoup pour les photos !
about vinco : yeah i think he did great thing in 2000 like win the bercy indoor, or beat world champs when he wasn't even 18.
he is also the one that inovated the more : he is the first french who starter with a 26' looking like a 20' and he started rising BB.
10 years after, he is still with the best. not bad uh ?
about geo : i tried a short stem : it's much more fun. I even start thinking that 108 cm is boring, but effectiv. well, even BB @ - 20mm seems more fun.
shit, I'm too old or what ??
