that snap was from the top - look at the 2nd and third pics.
from those pics, i'd say the bars went down - and a bit sharpish too!:weak:

Dude, did you drill the gussett part on the base of the stem? :noes:
Give an oversize Try-All stem a try!
Those Monty stems are lighter, but also feel about half as thick in comparison.

LOL ooh man, that stem finally went eh?
she was an old stem...and no those are drill marks in the gussets lol. that would be nic pounding on because his headset was loose lol

I had the exact same stem. I noticed a little crack above the gusset, so I stopped using it. I'm glad I did after seeing this :D
