Check it out...

The seat is back! I like everything about it except the derailleur, which is too long and there'll be lots of chainstay whacking.

yup - i can see what they've done:

thousands of people want a Norco after seeing Ryan Leech, but either don't have the knowhow to build a bike using the frame or can't afford the Moment frame

so Norco adapt the Evolve to look a bit more like the Moment and ship it out as a complete bike - even going so far as to put a disc brake on the front, riser bars and Truvativ Hussefelt cranks!

which is cool in my book

put a proper seat on there and a shortcage derailleur and it'd be a really nice rig!

X2 what he said ^ Maggie mounts on the fork? Nice touch.

For $800 it looks like a decent starter bike. I wonder what the rear hub is.

Are they not making the moment anymore? I didn't see it on the list.

:ugh: Umm why magura 4 bolt on the front? Dont most trialsers put them lets say on the BACK? Shit I must of had things backwards all along.:momaru:

Well I think we may see a different evolve in 08. This one looks at least semi promising.

no - people use HS33s on the front as well. i don't see your problem. by putting v-mounts on the back, you have the choice of disc, Mag or V-Brake (which is Ryan Leech's new choice of rear brake and so fits in with the bike's 'theme')

Most likely a Shimano hub. Probably a Deore or a step lower. I remember all Evolves Norco has ever made has Shimano hubs. It should be good for the first year of a begineer(that is, depending how fast they learn).

They'll probably stick to the 2006 Moment for 2007, kinda like the 02 and 03 Norco TT. Either that or Leech is still improving his geometry, or they don't make Moments anymore.

but.. why have v mounts rear and maggie in front? Not saying its stupid to put maggies in teh front, but it would just make more sense for the front and rear mounts to be the same. wouldn't it? yea it would.

thne if u wanted to run maggies rear or front you just evo adapter them on. But really i could care less about this bike

no it wouldn't - please read my post for the reason why (3 brake options vs 2. Ryan Leech's 'new' choice of rear brake)

But really i could care less about this bike

so why post?

I was trying to say if you have a v mount in the rear, have a v mount in the front. I doubt many people running a rear v are going to run a maggie front.

Not to say people dont, but how many guys you see riding trials with maguras on the front..........Ryan leech doesnt. My God so why should anyone not ride a Norco like Mr Leech

The bike costs 919$ cdn dollars and it's got some pretty nice geometry even if it's an entry level bike. It was designed by Dylan Korba and I'd say he can ride with more style then most people here. Gotta love the netweb.

I read the interview with ryan leech in MBUK that the moment is going to be called the manifesto.
