I have a woodman t-comp that I am having problems with. I purchased cranks from e-bay: Truvativ Hussefelt Howitzer 22T Trials/Jump Crank. The way that they are made the part that has the splines is recessed so far that the chain ring rubs the frame long before they are tight. I tried getting a wider bottom bracket, still will not work. I have an older set of these cranks that work, but the insert for the peddle comes out with the peddle, so I am unable to replace my peddles which is why I purchased the cranks in the first place.

I need to find out what type of cranks will work with this frame. I just purchased a new King wheel, so I don't want to go front freewheel. Any Ideas?

new hussefelts, middleburn, whatever really. The Howitzers are meant to run out the outboard bearing BB which means they sit further inward to get the right chainline and tread. Just get a "normal" ISIS mtb crankset and run it with a 118 or 128mm BB. Should be OK.

What length cranks are you using? I might have something for you. I'm shipping stuff down to Stan soon, and can toss it in.

Let me know.

I am using 175. I am measuring from the middle of the peddle to the middle of the bb. Thanks!!
