ok so, how does threading a regular freewheel on to the crank work? can u take it apart or something? :?. Maybe my mind is just not working, but i dont understand how it would still be in the right direction if you turn it around...

The white industries eno freewheel, is it made to just be on the front?

put it where you like dude. You thread it on. It is tightened by pedalling action, just like on the rear. Put lots of grease on the threads first. Seriously, why don't people do this?

When it's used as a front freewheel the inner part connected to the crank arm drives the outer ring with the teeth.
As a rear freewheel the outer ring drives the inner part that is screwed on the hub.
That's why it works even if it's flipped around.
Eno freewheels as well as other freewheels can be used in the front or rear.
However they were originally intented for rear use, so the lockring will most likely come loose if used in front (if not loctited or spot welded).

Or if it's a try-all it won't come loose...
