I want to get Tensile cranks, but I run a normal hub in the rear and therefore a front freewheel is not in my interest.
questions:
1) can I run the Tensiles with a regular rear hub ?
2) if yes, then should I run the Tensiles with a regular hub or would it be better to get some non-front- freewheel compatible cranks ?

yes you can all you have to do is get a thread on cog. what hub are you runing? cause if it is a shitty one then you might want to get a ffw. you can get a thread on cog from hugo at www.hbtrials.com (http://www.hbtrials.com)

I run bonz on a mod with an 18 tooth thread on cog and a regular hub. I love it. no issues so far. and I don't have to fight to get the freewheel off when I decide to make changes.

tensile's will work fine. Tensile's you can put a 4 bolt pattern bashguard as well as a freewheel or a fixed cog on the threads, I think.

I just found out that there're 2 types of Tensile cranks:
-Tensile UCI that are ffw compatible
-Tensile 22t that come with a 22 tooth ring and are not ffw compatible
just thought you'd like to know
