I'm just wondering.. I have some old 2001 monty hydra... and are the mounts on the frame for 19" wheels? It's very confusing.. because I measured my rim.. and it's smaller than my front.. but the tire thats on the rear wheel says it's 20x2.5 (creepy crawler)

I'm looking to buy a new frame.. so I'm wondering if that I do infact have a 19" wheel... and if all frames only support 19" rear wheels...

2.5" (rear) creepy crawlers are made for 19" rims. a lot of times companies will just call 19" rims and tires 20". you do have a 19" rear rim.

so wouldn't that be super confusing.. such as what if someone wanted a trials tire on a bmx rim... and the tire says 20" but it's really 19" i think thats stupid

I dont really think many people want trials tires on bmx rims

not many stores actually stock trials tyres (well not here in aus land) so i dont think that would be an issue...plus if a store was to stock trials tyres im sure they would know they go onto a 19" rim, and therefore wouldnt sell one to someone with a 20" rim.

It's just is that it's incredably confusing, I was thinking of putting two rear creepy crawlers on both my wheels... so stupid that it's marked 20"

thats why its called a rear tire.. its not that confusing.

why would you want the fatter one on the front? the front creepy crawly is fat enough.

they're both 20", but the bead seat diameter is different because the rear tyre has a much taller sidewall. There's a three digit number on tyre sidewalls, it doesn't confuse you.
