1: What cranks do i get? I am looking at the Truvativ Haussfelt and Shimano Saint cranks. (easier for me to get than say middleburns or any other FFW cranks)

2: what gearing? I am going to run a 22 tooth chainring up front and thinking of throwing an eno Freewheel on the rear?

3: whats an advantage of having the freewheel in front?

3: Advantages: Better chainline, more adjustable gear ratio.
Disadvantages: Less engagement points.

I used to have 22:18. It is good. I heard the truvativ cranks are good. Maybe try a Tensile freewheel on rear? Its cheaper. (I have an ENO at front, has skipped a few times.) And easyer to get off the rear wheel if your thinking of going front freewheel later.

one big advantage to front freewheel is the size of your bash ring. I am going back to front freewheel because it will allow me to ride over a lot more stuff without hitting bash. I think its about an inch and a half more clearance.

the only reason I have been riding with the big 22t ring in the front is because I am using a chrisking hub in the rear however now that the freewheels are starting to come with better engagement its time to change over.

1: I :dunno:

2: either go 22-18 (stronger legs) or 22-19 (not so stronger legs). 22-18 gets you more speed, good for street. 22-19 is better for natty.

3: If you get the eno, it's like a king, but cheaper.
