how do i adjust them or do something to them to help me get more braking power from them because lately they hav been slipin alittle bit when i go to squeeze before they kick in. i have gotten into the habit of stopping with one finger so i dont wanna go back 2 more then that.

Which version do you have? There is really not alot of adjustment on them.

What kind of bike do you ride? I had the same problem with my Norco tt because the frame was flexing so I had to put another brake booster on.
Grind, booster, re-bleed, good pads. You really shouldnt need anything more. let us know what youve done and we'll try to help.

i am riding a new monty 221 pr so they should be new brakes. i sent it over to a local bike shop because there was a guy that used to ride but hes not there anymore and i dont think the regular guy knows what i was asking when i said they need alittle bit of adjustment when i first got it.

Disc brakes need to have the pads worn in when they are new. If you ahve not done that, that would most likely be why they are not working. Ride down a hill and brake evenly with a wet caliper for a few minutes. Should do the trick.

If you've had them for a while and they were working fine before, then I'd suggest replacing the pads with new Magura pads. I've noticed mine start to fade when the pads get thin because pieces fall off and decrease the surface area. I strongly recommend replacing them with the Magura "Performance" pads because they are organic compound. The Magura "Endurance" pads and all EBC pads are sintered metal. The metal works decent but the organic is grabbier.

things to try:
1) Clean disc with water and a clean rag(keep disc away from oil and/or oily fingers)
if no success
2) as carnagr says, ride down long hill with brake on
if your problems is "where or when the brake kicks in when moving your brake lever,"
suggest trying a Shimano brake lever and handle atttached to your Louise system

I found that using rubbing alcohol in a squirt bottle, or using alcohol swabs (not wet-wipes.. those are no good) if you can get some, I got mine at a medical supply shop, to clean your rotor.
you probably just need to change your pads, like suggested above.
you can also try adjusting the pads by the two bolts on either side of the caliper. I think louise still have them. I have an old set, from like 2002, or 2003, or something.. but I don't think much has changed.

oh yea, and you might also want to check and see that all your rotor bolts are secured in the hub. mine come loose enough to have the rotor slip everyonce and awhile (enough to get me in the habbit of bringing a torx bit along on my rides).
