I like the colour, but the frame just looks like a generic trials frame. What's that thing under the bb yoke?

It is a mod bike, they put bashplates on some of them...

my bad. just haven't seen mod bikes without the plate attached :o

TTownJon

Using snail chain tensioner.
The dropouts just seem too short to get reasonable chain tension with different gear ratios and chain ring sizes.

maybe its an optical illusion... I just know that on my echo team mod with dropouts something like twice that long I still had to tweek it a bit to get the right amount of chain tension.

edit: and "OMG it looks like all the other bikes out there?!" who cares... if it is strong stiff and light there is no need to put all sorts of CNC junk on there. Maybe Zhi bikes puts more time into actually TESTING there bikes rather than putting all sorts of fancy-schmancy doodads on their frames. If the frame sucks I will eat my words, but there is no need to write it off as a "levelboss or T-bird" just yet...

it just seems like we never really saw the first gen. zhi mod frame in the states. also zhi should really look into making 2 sizez of the frame. i probibly would have bough one if it wasn't so short (i'm 6'5")

ronan_zj

yea, he has to make 2 different size for us.

geo to be the same as before........ going from memory here (so don't carve it in stone).... 365mm chainstays.... wheelbase length of 1005. Chain stays are a little shorter than other similar wheelbase bikes, making top tube slightly longer than comparitives.

I am trying to get them to do 1010mm wheel base. The feedback from the people who have gotten Monty 221PR and 221TI mods has been all raves. Sorry....but don't think there is a mod frame from them for 6'4" people in the offing......... yet.....
