I know the part about unscrewing the lockjaw clamps, but my grips are still dead stuck on my bars. I've been riding for a couple months now with the lock clamps completely unscrewed, and the grips are not moving one bit.
Also since these grips have a rigid core for the clamp to hold on to, I can't fit anything under the grip to loosen it. The only thing I've been able to do is drip some triflow down, but that hasn't worked either. Clamping with vice grips doesn't do much besides smear the rubber around.
Any ideas, short of just cutting it off?

Have you taken the metal lockjaws off and they still wont move at all?

hm..i've not done that. i have opened up the gaps on all of them with a screwdriver though, so they should theoretically not be providing any clamping force. i'll give that a go.
I've had this problem before, after a while all the sweat gets in between the grips and the bar and they become one. Try lying the bike on its side and spray some WD40 (not sure what you guys call it) down between the bars and the grips (one side at a time) leave for a few hours to penetrate.
Bet when you get them off there is a shit load of white corrosion/sweat powder in there.

well i ended up having to destroy the grips, and there was a shit ton of salt all over the bars. it had started corroding through the bars in some places too.
