Summer is here finally!

So, I have been organizing my summer holidays around trials events and the Bash at the Beach came to mind. It is usually held in July right? I haven't heard anything about it this year.

Just wondering when it is going down so I can do my best to be there.

Isn't "t33zr" comming here from Norway on the 12th? It would be cool to organize it so he could be there....

Tom, if you are coming up August 5, 6th, we'll definitely have a ride at Ashbridges. Which day(s) are you available to ride?

I think it would be cool to have a big group ride in July though (when t33zr is visiting from Norway).

I know Saturdays seem to work best for people.
What does everyone think of July 22nd?

I dont know if all take a plane or a bus or maybe if riders dont fucking bail out all comme up with someone.

Date is set, it's July 22-23.

Saturday, July 22
Natural. Meet at Ashbridges Bay, beaches rocks. People usually arrive some time between noon and 2pm and ride until dinnertime.

Sunday, July 23
Urban ride. We meet at the south west corner of Skydome, around 11:30am, ride leaves at noon. There is good warm-up in the meeting area, then it's up the waterfall, and we make our way up to behind City Hall/Ryerson, down Bay street/Financial district and surrounding area, and back towards Union Station/Skydome.

I'll post maps later.

Sorry, biketrials is not allowed at UofT. It is technically trespassing/vandalism, and campus police will give a ticket. Let's stick to the regular Bash Urban spots.

the trick is when u see the cops car u STOP DROP and CHILL, and thankfuly trials are not popular in TO, so the cops would think that ur just a student taking a brake and enjoying the views :bowdown: duhhh

:wavey, Bash at the Beach 2006 is this Sunday. If you didn't already know, the Saturday ride is at the Beach, Ashbridges Bay Park. The Sunday ride is downtown Toronto.

I have prepared a rough map with a suggested route for the ride. We meet at the southwest corner of Skydome, 11:30AM. The ride leaves around 12pm. There is lots to ride at skydome, so just look around if you are a little late.

The best ride spots are outlined on the map with red x's. There is a good mix of beginner/sport and expert/pro stuff. Everything is pretty much public space, so there shouldn't be a problem with getting kicked out of places.
