Who's heading out there and when? I'm thinking that I may make it out this year. Is anyone going to be hanging around to do a ride on Sunday? And where are you guys staying at? I slept in my car one year there and it sucked...not trying to pull that again.

I'm coincidentally going to be in Buffalo for my sisters graduation on Sunday. I'll be around for a ride Sunday, but it'll have to be fairly early, since I have to be back by about 3pm.

I'm there from the 21st to the 26th.

There's also some pretty good natty in the Niagra gorge. Which I think is about 2hrs from the comp site.

There is camping in the park 10-15mins from thunder rocks.

Wake up, eat breakfast, shower, kiss wife and kids, drive down, total time from bed to comp, 1.5 hrs. It's the one time of the year that I don't have to camp at a comp. I was told that I could not turn my house into a flop house like I did last year, otherwise I would invite everyone over. Something about having a 1/2 dozen trials riders over for the weekend, along with the new baby (2 months old) and our 2 other kids, seems to bother my wife. Although, she was a really good sport about it last year. 7 semi drunken trials riders (including myself) for the weekend, what a great time, she was not amused.

I'll start working on her for next year.

Zohyil... i kinda live near it, well 4 hours which makes it the most local for me. angie and i are thinking about having a couple comps in central ny next year before we get married. should be good times.

I'll be there, it will be the first time I get on a bike since I busted my wrist back in march, I hope I can still trackstand? My bike is in pieces right now, pretty much everything is new and I'm taking forever to build it all up, I won't even get a chance to ride and get used to all the new stuff, rofles. I hope my new bars get here on time. Oh, and wheelbuilding rules.

I'll definately be hitting up the hotel on fri night, and might stay to ride on sunday, I'll see. I'm just super itchy to ride, it's been foreeeever, and it will be rad seeing everyone again.

I saw on the pre-registration site that they have Racoon Rally t-shirts for anyone that is riding in the comp. Are they handing out these for people showing up on the day of the comp as well?

In the past, the shirts have only been for pre reg.

Redhouse is the closest camping to thunder rocks.

If you have a vehicle you're more than welcome to stop by my house, I'll be home all evening, Friday night is somewhat out of the question until after trialsbug arrives, then, who knows. Either give me a call, or something, maybe Trialsbug and I can come towards the city Friday evening and hook up with you, it's all kind of up in the air.

I actually just got back. I scoped out some stuff on Main st. on the way to my sisters graduation last night, and rode it today. They're doing all kinds of construction along there, so at one point there is a bunch of cast concrete blocks and tubes and such. Also the wall and stairs in front of Bennett high school is pretty cool. Then next to Bennet there's an abandoned building, behind it there is a pile of logs that is a pretty cool beginner section, also a bunch of flat top rocks that were kind of fun.

I may be meeting Tom (KeepRollin) Friday afternoon at Thunder Rocks for a pre-comp ride, if you're interested.
