When your ready to slow down, reach around and jam your shoe in between the tire and frame.

Magura Louise...but only if your Magura Louise is my Magura Louise. I have NEVER ridden a better front disc than my Louise, but its just matches my style I guess. You have to grab it a bit harder to lock, but the modulation is the best I have felt. If you want a disc that is either off or on don't get the Louise.

there are only two front brakes anyone should ever consider. bb7, or if yo uwant bling and need a way to justify spending more money on your bike, the try-all/hope brake works slightly better than the avid (in mny experience). the performance gain isnt really worth the extra money to most.

shimano saint/xt with 7"rotor
best hydro brake ever
best modulation and locking power
great lever feel
non toxic fluid.

but if you dont want to spend alot of money avid bb7 is the choice of the new generation.

-peace out

you're not gonna stop upgrading your bike so you'll probably get a luise or hope...:D it's not the cost to be considered, it's the modulation(!),you really DONT need an on-off front brake in trials. i know people that went from Avid bb7 to an old luise with problems('99) 160 just bec of the modulation.
Avid bb7 is a mark of the English "newbie" rider.
