View Full Version : Bleeder Kit Necessities

After tampering with my front disk brake last night, I accidentally removed the wrong screw and all of the brake fluid drained out. After dropping it by the shop today they projected that it would be ready in about 4 days, which seems a bit excessive. I was told by a friend that in order to bleed the brake line I would need a "bleeder kit" which I wouldn't be able to find locally. I was wondering what in this kit is so necessary for this process... it seems like it should be possible with a funnel, mineral oil, and a small star head screwdriver.

Thanks in advance!

i bet in order to make some money the bike shop has had other people come in and request services before you. :joshers:

good luck finding your bleed kit.
