View Full Version : freewheel needs tightening or is it broke??

Hello.

Im so pissed off Ive had a freewheel since Saturday and now its Wednesday ive only road it end of Saturday last night and tonight and its started clicking but I don't think the cog is perfectly inline with the freewheel so could this be a problem ???? But when I make it inline the pads rub and there as far in as they can go .PLEASE HELP :nuts:

Are you talking about brakes or the freewheel? Whats going on with the pads?

The freewheel im on about.the pads are great ;)

When I get tired and don't pull the brake as much it can slip alittle :(

don't 'align' your freewheel with your horizontal dropouts.

what is your freewheel? if it's an ACS then it likely needs to be tightened.

I suggest you try tightening your freewheel first. Anyway, to tighten free wheel is an easy job, don't worry...

the top cap is reverse threaded. You turn it anti-clockwise to tighten it. Just a by the way.
