i was wondering if anyone ever has anything weird (or not weird) that they continually hit there body on their bike. mine is my backfoot (right foot) on the echo brakebooster on my python. i just slam it into it every time i lurch or just put much movement with the bike. i think its due to years of BMX biking and pinching a seat to move the bike and now having no seat at all. anyone else have any probs like this?

Guess it takes a while to become accustomed to new components . Suggestions ? try running a wider BB , and possibly not fat skate type shoes . That's how I solved a similar V-brake / shoe interface nightmare .:Sonic:

Knee/Stem is annoying. Shin/Pedal hurts too.

I have a similar problem to you, except I hit my back foot ankle on my magura slave cylinder. They sit a fair way out cause I have an Echo rim in the back, I've go the widest BB that I can get (128mm) and the cranks still only clear the brakes by about 3mm. So I generally always have a bruised right ankle. It's gotten to the point now that unless I really belt it I don't feel it, it's just always darker than the other one.

I used to scrape my left ankle bone on the disc brake cable mount on my old woodman, it sucked and becuase I rode so much it would never heal, but a wider bb and a new frame fixed that.

my brake booster bruised and scraped my calf muscle all the time on the echo.
on my bmx it's the knee/stem, and my ankle hits the crank a bit.

i seconded the knee/stem combo. i remember on one ride i hit it like 4-6 times and then at work the next day i hit it like 4-6 time. i think total i hit it like 50 time before it heals.

My knee hits my stem.

My middle finger on my left hand. Whenever I squeeze the front brake with my index finger, the lever hits my middle finger.

My middle finger on my left hand. Whenever I squeeze the front brake with my index finger, the lever hits my middle finger.

That used to happen to me, just move your levers inboard.

or have them throw less. if it doesnt come that close in to the bar you cant smash your fingers.

I do that with my rear brake, but I like using 2 fingers on the front occasionally. Hopefully I'll have a front disc after this summer so I won't have that problem. It will be sad to ditch the vee

I smash my knees into my bars, and stem all the time. Problem solved with the Fox Launch Shinn/Knee combo.
No mas pedal bites, or smashin my legs into my bike. The pad sucks it all up.

My middle finger on my left hand. Whenever I squeeze the front brake with my index finger, the lever hits my middle finger.
I have to raise my hand on that one too. I moved my levers a little more inboard, but I can still squeeze so hard that I hit my middle finger sometimes. Back when it was more constant I had a callous on the part of my middle finger that was always being hit.

The only time I have a repeated hit or rub on the bike now is when I try to practice trackstands without my hands. I can bruise up the inside ankle on my right leg pretty quickly tring to hold the bike up.
