He means he has a 36H HUB, not rim. He's looking for a rim to fit the hub.

Try-all, V!Z, and Alex all make 36 hole rear 19" rims however it is almost impossible to get the Try-all or V!Z in the states...at least thats how it is for me. I havn't tryed to get an Alex because I want something wider. I think Onza might have a 36 hole rear but you can check tartybikes for that.

EDIT:: well by the looks of this thread you need a front rim so I would look at either Alex or onza for a 36hole front 20" rim.

ok, i'm pretty sure they don't make 36 20" front try-alls. maybe you could find a wide bmx rim? but that might be to heavy..

you can spoke a 32h rim on a 36h hub you just have to skip a hole on the hub at evry 8 spokes, easy :D

probably better said and not done. Although if someone's going to be a horrid hack there's not much you can do about it...except nod sympathetically when they bring their rooted hack of a bike into your shop...then you charge them double labour for being a whinging hack.

I asked that to the bike mechanic but he said every spoke is very important

I have a 28h tryall rim with a 32h hub. It works really well. 1.5 years old.

Yeah, arent most tryall front hubs and rims all 28h?

On the topic:
Which are better now they both been out for a while;
Tryall Rims or Echo Rims
I need a new rim badly, apparently DX32 is too hard to get in and will cost more than both tryall and echo, also tryall is out of stock but will be in soon.
Just wondering on Echo reviews from people that have a rim

There was a poll and thread about this on Trials-forum. The general concencus is unless you are an obscenely smooth rider, don't get an Echo, because you'll flatspot the shit out of it.

Haha sweet! Yup I have the hope xc hub in 36h because thats what my alex dx 32 rim is but when I ordered the hub I didn't think about a new rim and now I find out I can't send the hope xc hub back because its red and they don't do red no more :ugh: Might just keep my alex dx 32 rim though now because its good condition and nice and wide :D

I think the try-all rim is a bit lighter? Does anybody know?

I have had a try all for about a year and a 1/2 now and I have been putting some hard practice on it and its still in ok shape. I just ordered an echo however because the try all rims are hard to find over here. Does anybody know where you can get them in the US? Thanks in advance

i remember reading something along those lines when the echos first came out, but i read a more recent thread and people were saying the new echos were much stronger (i might have read stronger than a dx32?)... have to search for it when t-f is back up to make sure my memory isn't screwing with me
