I just wondered if there was anyone around Harrisburg riding nowadays? I have not rode in ages, but I dusted off my old Monty, and was thinking about getting back into the sport a little bit. It would be cool to ride with whoever may be in the area if your down. I have some decent places to ride, and I am also planning on hitting the Raccoon Rally later this year if anyone would like to catch a ride. I may also have an extra seat to go to the motorcycle world ride @ the Trials Training Center in TN next month if anyone is interested?

Later,

Chris Slentz

Yo what's up?. I ride district 6 and 7 moto trials in advanced class so i'm up that way a bit. As for riders in Harrisburg there are a few kids I see at the moto comps with bikes especially up north in williamsport. The guys a Bottle Run Extreme there might know a few riders.

I'll be traveling around and riding some this summer so maybe i'll come up your way. If you're looking for a place to ride this summer, my parents have ten acres just southeast of Harpers Ferry, W.V. about 2 hours from you with some nice stuff to ride.

Arqupa.... If you get a bike, we will have to do some riding. I am actually right outside of Carlisle, but I posted Harrisburg because I figured I would get a better responce.... Anyhow, I have tons of terrain to ride on if you dont have any riding spots. Where I live, my family has a ton of wooded areas to ride, and I also have an area right beside my house that has huge piles of rocks, and logs that are awesome to ride on. I am riding my old mod bike at the time, and since I am just starting back up... My skill level is not the greatest. I used to always train by myself, but now that I am getting older (31) this shit hurts little more, and I need someone out there to keep me riding instead of putting in 20 minutes, and riding back to the house. Macleod, Thanks for the message earlier.... I have been up to the shop in Williamsport a few times with my buddy who is still riding moto comps, and met some of the guys up there, but it is over a two hour drive for me so needless to say we dont really hang out. How long have you been riding motorcycle trials? I rode a long time ago in mostly dist 6, but did some of the closer D4, and D7 events..... I rode with the Tricky Trialers guys, and still talk to Dave Bardell, Jay Partner, and Mike Pool on occasion.... I rode my last event around here in 91, and rode the Ute Cup event in Colorado in 97 or 98... My name is Chris Slentz if you were around back then? Actually Mike was the one that talked me into checking out the world round next month in TN. I may ride some moto events since there does not seem to be shit going on in the bike trials side, but I am not sure I am ready to buy a new bike on a whim yet, and the old Fantic I have sitting around is a bit dated to ride in comps. Either way, I will probably be checking at the Duncannon D6 event, and if your there, maybe I'll run into you. Later guys!

When is the Duncannon D6 event??? I live 5 miles from Duncannon and I would like to check it out. I am 28 years old and I currently do not have any where to ride. It would be great sometime to meet up and ride. I am finally getting back into riding because I would like to take up a sport with my son (who is currently 5). Well.. That is once I get a bike it would be great to meet up and ride together.

The Duncannon trials is june 25th I think? The place it is held at is called the "Cove" by the people who live up that way..... If you know where the Kinkora Heights retirement home is on 15.... It is only a few miles off the highway from there. Close enough to you that I would definately hit it up if you have time, but a better place to spectate would be the ride at Candytown which is close to Hershey/E-town. It has a lot shorter loop so the sections are a lot closer together, and it is also pretty flat compared to the Tricky Trialers ride which is on the side of the mountain. Candytown is also a cool place to drag your bicycle along because there is a ton of rocks to ride right by the parking area. Actually... Candytown used to also host bicycle trials, but it looks like they have gotten out of it for some reason? I am curious to find out what happened down there because if everyone just lost interest... They may let someone host a bicycle event? Anyhow.... Your more than welcome to stop down my way sometime to go riding if your interested, like I said... I have plenty of stuff to ride on down here if your into natural stuff. Take care... Chris

I'm in Chambersburg... We should all meet somewhere and ride.

It sucks Duncannon '06 is the same weekend as Raccoon Rally... Figures the only comps around are in the same weekend.

I also have a new Onza T-Master Mod I would sell cheap. Let me know if you are interested.

Damn.... Your right, they are the same weekend. I am going to ride the Racoon Rally myself. The ride in Duncannon is a moto trials anyhow if I didnt make that clear. D6 not '06... Moto trials are sanctioned by the AMA, and central PA is district six, or D6 as I wrote above. Glad to see there are some guys riding close by... When I used to ride, there were very few people in the area that even knew what trials was... much less riders. We definately need to get together to do some riding. I have not done any serious riding for about 15 years, but I had my bike out a few times now, and I should be pretty solid again before too long. You are more than welcome to roll up here if your interested, or I can meet somewhere else if you guys have anywhere you prefer to ride? Either way, lets get something going since we are all so close. Later....
