not much adjustment? they are the exact same as the bonz ones...except for being ambidextrous (sp?). Where the bonz are shaped like ( the heatsink are like |. I would assume they would work the same. In other words...good.

I've got em. I love em. My brake is godly.
You're right that they can't be adjusted like the bonz. I have zero problems running them with a dx32 and heatsink v pads with wide pad spacers on my levelboss 1065. I think if I went up to a tryall or echo rim I could still use em, by just using thinner or no pad spacers. With bonz, all you have to do is swing out the bottom bolt mount and you're set, as long as you have a booster that will fit the super wide bolt spacing.
The heatsink adapters arent as thick as the bonz are. Depending where your 4 bolt mounts are welded on your frame, this might limit the up/down adjustment of your pads. I fixed this on my frame by putting a threshold 4 bolt booster between my frame and heatsink adapters, which raised up the adapters from the frame, and as a sweet ass bonus, it made the setup totally solid.
Shitty pic, but it shows it:

THanks Roman thats great!!
yeah what i was really wanting to know was if they would work with heatsink pads or if they would be too close to the rim andthe calipers would push out too far but looks like they dont. Thanks.
Peace

Bonz are better made and have adjustment, which will come in handy..... But either will work fine im sure.
I ran the Bonz on my old pitbull, worked beautifully!

I would love to use bonz but noone has them and bonz is out of stock and noone is selling them either so the heatsinks are my only other option. Other than making my own or something.

what about a maggy pad holder, with a v post, if you get me :P its what i'm running at the moment, i'll post pics when i get home. saves chopping up pads to stick in a new backing. if your lazy, its the perfect answer :)

here's one on my kot, i don't really like the pads being so high on the calipers, less leverage, compared to a pure v mount frame. But it can't be helped =(
Yes it's really stiff btw. =)

Hi,
Nice photos there! The new version will be out in a few weeks - I've already had a few pairs reserved.
http://www.heatsinkbikes.com/content/veeadapters/adapterV2_240.jpg
CNCed from 6082-T6 Alu billet with screw in steel Vee bosses. Multi position lateral mounting like the Bonz adapters, but one part fits both sides. "H" logo machine engraved on to match the boosters. The CAD image above doesn't show a slight change made to change the top mounting hole into a slot so that manufacturing inaccuracies on the seperation of the 2 mounting holes are allowed for.
Finally I'll be getting some anodised in other colours aside from Natural. Gold is top of the list :)
Vee backing wise, the latest Vee backings offer the best fit for Magura pads ever. Some pads are upto 1mm longer than others, so the latest backings are designed for the shorter ones to jam tightly in once they've been freed from plastic magura backings (a quick boil in a saucepan will sort this followed by literally ripping the pads out with your teeth!). A quick trim of the longer pads (just cut off a slither from one end of submerged portion) and these too jam firmly in. With the tighter fit comes the option to use superglues to secure the pads. Using superglues compared to Epoxies means that it's quicker to glue your pads in, and easier to prepare the pads for refills.

yes, thats the problem on my frame. The padas are on the up most position and they still dont hit the rim surface 100%. I guess my hs33 mounts are welded to low.

no lie.
Steve, the new design looks great. Personally, I like the option of running a booster under the adapters, especially on a frame like mine which is pretty flexy by itself. I'm sure this isn't a big deal at all on newer frames with built in jazz and stuff. Once I get my new frame I don't think I'll have to have a 4 bolt booster anymore, but I still might need to space the adapters up, or just get these taller/thicker new design ones. Cryo, give the booster (or just spacers) thing a try and see if it makes the pad alignment better.
Actually, I didn't plan on having to use the thick pad spacers on the deore arms, but my frame spacing is so wide, that the brake arms were pointing inwards with the thinner pad spacers, even with those beefy pads and a dx32.
Any plans on releasing wide spacing vee boosters for adapters on the wide setting Steve?
