although in melbourne its not all that uncommon to get uner 12c...i remember xmas back in 2001...it was so cold there that we had to put the ducted heating on, rug up in lots of clothes n we even stood around the oven with the door open to heat out hands up so we could eat lunch....and xmas in Australia is summer...but that same year up here in QLD my mate told me the butter on his table practically boiled itself...it was uber hot here that day, like 45c+...
