I think that 370mm chainstays are too short, but you know what ppl want.
You should sell not just one frame with 380 cs.

I think he means rediculously low.

I think you should have a lighter weight model. At these prices I wouldn't mind cracking a frame once in a while for some lighter weight.

What fork length are they designed for? Or is that another option we can change? Can we also change the seat tube lengths and if we want a real seat tube for a seat post and a seat?

Also can we change head angles?

-nice site by the way. Nice frames too. Just might buy one!

Wow! That is hot.

Just wondering though, would you ever make a bike frame out of steel? That would be really cool. Maybe a custom build? It should be easier to weld and cheaper than aluminum.

free_rideman
03-07-2006, 09:08 PM
That is exactly along the lines I was thinking of. If steel could be done, than this company would probably be the best our there. Fully custom! The great thing is they can make larger profits using steel for some custom builds.

-the only problem I can think of, is the fact that steel isn't the easiest to design with. You have to know where to put each part, so it will be used to its max, but still not break. You can't put as many parts to reinforce the design like you can with aluminum. But if it works, it should be one plush ass ride!!!!!

03-07-2006, 09:43 PM
Not to flame you (really), I would like to see the bike indistury make 300mm rear rotor and brake system for trials. If that would be possible than the modulation would be so much better. Just for curiosity, is the modulation good on a current 203mm disc setup?

rocpyro
03-07-2006, 10:06 PM
There is a company in england(forgot the name) that make 9" rotors and sells them with the hope 6 piston. I want to try that. But 300mm would be WAAAAY too easy to bend on a trials bike.

crater38

so then how much more is a "build your own" frame?
It directly depends on frame's complexity: CNC, strengthenings...

Wheelbase: 1040mm
chainstays: 375mm
head angle: 72 degrees

seat tube length 10 inches (and open, so I can use a seat)

I'm really fuckin feeling the ultra low standover on those things. I like the pro2 (i think that's what it's called) It's got a tinge of P-X and Echo with the top and down tube welded along- but I like the lack of seatpost and how burly those stays are.

Like someone commented Crater, at that price nobody would complain if it lost a 500g or so, and wasn't quite as durable. Not saying for all your models, but maybe like a 'comp' frame.

I'd always wished I could fit a mod bashplate to my stock... Brava.

I want one. It's too bad I don't break stuff, because I don't forsee my Urban breaking, but if it did (or if it gets sold...) I know where i'll go.

I didn't mean to.

In Australia egg and dairy products are produced at a much higher standard than in the US (no steroids, drugs etc, highly regulated) so the reasons to be a vegan aren't anywhere near as strong as they are in America. If I lived there I would probably be a vegan as well.
