i thought that too. he just looked alot more comfotable on the wet and icy rocks than coust did.
but with the colour of herms bike you didnt miss any of the sick moves...
i liked the small insert vid of coust the front wheel move with vince doing it rite after...sickness :barf:

That is vincents training ground, he rides there all the time...probably has tried all of those moves dozens of times while giacomo is in the south of france on completely different terrain.
And there should be about 50 more replies than there are.
That last rock- you have to tap at like 62" to get up it. Pretty rediculous.

those rocks don't look that slippery...but the rocks at the last lincoln woods comp didn't either.

I can assure you (and a scar on my knee can) that after riding those rocks in the morning dew, they are so rediculously slippery its not even funny.
pffffft, you don't know from slip. Colorado boys have it way too good.
check out these bouncy spaniards

Either that or come to the northeast. Buthiers might as well be made of sandpaper compared to some of the rocks out here. That last rock where Vince slipped looked like pure ice though :ugh2:

You do know that I grew up in the northeast right :hsugh: :)
Snow covered trees without bark are like sandpaper compared to the buthier rocks with an ounce of moisture. Its basically like riding a metal box with tires made from oil. When they are dry, they are the stickiest rocks I've ridden.

i'm glad to see vince keeping cool after the digger finale.
granite is pretty nice when it's not wet and smooved by moving waters.

Yeah, I know, just calling you out :).

Funny how that works. It's the same with the rocks at Alleghany. I can't imagine slimy wet rocks can be any slipperier than that. When dry though its like they are covered in emery paper.
Only ridden Buthiers in beautiful sunny weather. I hope it rains at least once at Koxxdays.

yeah well in chicago even if there is above a 10% chance of any form of moisture all surfaces become so slippery you couldn't walk on them without 6" ice pick boots. you might as well be riding on big 26" ceramic bearings, that's how slippery it is. the buthier rocks in the wet painted with oil would be like riding with electro magnetic tires on electro magnetic surfaces with etches cut out so that they would fit together and not move compared to even the driest of chicago concrete.

oh noes the comparisons are breaking my head!
MegamoMidwest
03-06-2006, 10:58 PM
they are pretty accurate, I mean i might have embellished a little bit with the electromagnets. on a warm sunny day it could be described as regular magnets with a little bit of superglue between them.

Ummm @ the whole fucking thing!!!!!
I just can't grasp onto the concept that they can find grip on icy rocks.
Every single move was insane. You fags going to Koxx Days are soo damn lucky :(

I think I'm luckier paying 170 dollars for a round trip ticket to a greek island with paid room and board for a while prior to koxx days..

very sick riding, buthiers rocks will check your skills real quick.
niouf
03-07-2006, 02:17 AM
Vincent And Giacomo have the same skills now... but i think Vince tap hopp better than giacomo does.
The more impressives move are when they does a big long jump (giaco on rear wheel and vince on front wheel) and when giaco shout when he is on the top of the rock. stones where covered by ice and i don't understand how they do to ride on on it...
Don't be affraid it will much more warmer during koxx days
