im an aussie as well...

rush-> at work the other night we were talking about where different saying come from...we couldnt work any of them out...
such as,
hanging shit on someone
taking the piss outta someone
etc
it makes sense to say it but there is no sense in it...we talked/debated this topic for over 2 hours, so dont bother with it cos in the end you're just further away from an answer than when you began the topic :P
