avid ultimate brakes

I was thinking of upgrading to avid single digit ultimate v brakes. What do you guys think of them?

Does $100 seem reasonable for front and rear avid ultimates?

If I don't have very good brake levers, will it make the avid ultimate brakes less effective? I have sram 9.0 composite levers.

get some good leaves for sure.

id get good levers first. sram 9.0 levers are probably the worst ever made. get some xtrs off of ebay, then upgrade your calipers... but yes, the avid ultimate calipers are the best money can buy.

avid ultimate brakes and levers with nokon cables are the most amazing v-brake set-up I have tried.
thats the set up I have been using for the last two years.
and yes the ultimate lavers are awesome (as well as the calipers)

What do you think a good price for avid speed dial ti levers would be? And are they descent levers?

I hear that they're really thin and might hurt your fingers (because small area, more pressure per square inch). But power wise they're as good as any other Avid.

go on ebay and get some xtr levers, they are about as good as ultimeate levers, and they cost about as much used as sd levers do new. avid sd ti levers suck.
