Brake question

For those of you who ride almost daily, and who use (mechanical) disc brakes. How often do you get new pads? I use a disc in the front, and not too long ago, I got new pads, and now my brake is sliding a lot. Does anyone have any suggestions?

you ahve to break tha pads in. its like having a brand new brake. search for breaking in brakes or post here if you cant find any useful info.

Yea I know, I got the pads like eairly summer or so. But before that I had those pads for over a year or so.

nah, try readjusting the side dials and caliper. they get loose easily, and taking a bit of time to do the adjustment can make them ace.

Does it effect it that I have an extreemly messed up rotor, and that it can't make more than a couple of rotations when I spin the wheel?
